The idea of Maranatha Ministry Sundays is to give a practical approach to service. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, repeatedly told His disciples to serve one another, love one another and lay down their lives for one another. We trust that each follower of Jesus Christ is faithful in their obedience to Christ's command in their day-to-day walk... Maranatha Ministry Sundays are designed to provide unique opportunities for our church to obey this command TOGETHER.
If you are looking for an opportunity to serve needy people or minister to other believers we want to invite you to Maranatha Ministry Sundays. This exciting time takes place the last Sunday evening of every month during our Sunday evening service (6:00 pm).
Currently we have three ministry opportunities with more to come;
1. Choir ministry- God's Word tells us to "Make a joyful noise" and to "come before his presence with singing." Our choir seeks to lead the congregation in Christ-honoring music.
2. Aged Ministry- We are thankful to have some elderly men and women of God who are blessed with years of wisdom and experience.
It is good for the younger to "sit at the feet" of these aged and learn from their practical life experiences.
3. Samaritan Ministry- In Luke 10, A lawyer asked Jesus, "who is my neighbor?" Jesus told about a man who was beaten and left half dead. A priest and a Levite passed by when they saw the man but a socially hated Samaritan had compassion on him, dressed his wounds, took him to an inn and spent the evening taking care of him. Christ told the lawyer to go and do the same. The Samaritan Ministry is a wonderful opportunity for our church to help people who are truly in need.
Our desire is to be faithfully serving Christ when He returns!
