THE GOAL OF MARANATHA!
TO DAILY GLORIFY GOD BY REFUSING TO BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD BUT ACTIVELY SEEKING TO BE TRANSFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON
"Repentance is a discovery of the evil of sin, a mourning that we have committed it, a resolution to forsake it. It is, in fact, a change of mind of a very deep and practical character, which makes the man love what once he hated, and hate what once he loved." Charles Spurgeon

God's Word is our final authority. We go to great lengths to insure that we are following God's mandate for redemption and sanctification.
The mission of our church is to "love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself." To show our love for Christ we follow His own words, "If you love me, keep my commandments." In order to know and obey these commandments we hold frequent Bible studies. The ultimate goal of our church is to glorify Christ by being transformed by His words.
Here are some key doctrines that we hold to.
We believe the Bible teaches that baptism by immersion is an act of obedience. (Acts 19:1-5)
We believe in the autonomy of the local church (Acts 6:3-6; 13:1-3)
We teach that salvation is eternal and everlasting (Jn. 10:28-29)
The Bible is clear that salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ alone and that that faith is effectual unto good works (Eph. 2:8; James 2:18-26)
We preach that there is a literal hell (Lk. 12:5; 16:23)
We preach and read from the King James Version Bible.
